Our Campaign for 2025

Troop 766 started a recruitment plan last year to draw girls and more boys to join the troop and successfully has grown by 40% with nearly 50 youth and leaders currently.  Lack of equipment and the fact that most of the existing equipment is approaching the end of its useful life puts the unit in a vulnerable position to manage the accommodation for the 2025-2026 plans. Friends and Alumni of Troop 766 will support the Troop by launching a campaign this year to accumulate funds through individual donations on our crowd funding site Troop 766 Equipment Booster, vendor booths at community fundraisers, reach out to local business, and apply for grants . 

• Funds to cover safety items used for outings such as 2 new fire extinguishers, new burn kits, and maintenance on the troop trailer.

• Funds to cover replacing 10  Troop tents and tarps, replace 3 camp stoves and griddles along with six new galvanized wash pots are needed.

• Funds to purchase troop equipment such as 20 new backpacking tents and 20 pocket rockets with fuel so that scouts can individually camp and cook.

• Funds to cover ceremonial equipment such as a 2nd Troop flag to maintain both a ceremonial flag and field flag for outing.  In addition, provide each scout with a uniform hat, belt, and socks.
